Will We Get Cherries?

Cherries forming on our Géant tree.

This year the yellow sweet cherries and one of the sweet red cherries have set a lot of fruit. But with the seesawing weather, first hard frosts then dry then a bit of rain and some hail, who knows what we will eventually harvest.

Maggits! Probably..... no such thing as a vegetarian option if you garden organically!

Yes, possibly. The cherries that seem to be doing best are the later ripening ones, which always means more maggots. We can always hope that the weather interrupted the cherry fruit flies life cycle though.

We have one small tree and it has fruit forming. No Idea what variety it is! We used to get lots of maggots with our fruit in FRANCE...
