How wonderful nature is... I love the colours. It is only a suggestion but on your Loire Valley Nature site where you have photographs of butterflies/moths would it be possible to show the caterpillar too? It would be nice to associate the caterpillar with its metamorphic flying form. The glorious patterns and shapes of caterpillars often seem neglected in photographic identification. Just an observation I have held for many a year! But absolutely no criticism of your endeavour to teach us.
Sweetpea: where I have the photos of caterpillars IDd for certain I do put them on LVN. The site is reliant on me having the time to update and working through a huge archive of our photos, so pages may get published with only one or two photos initially, then get added to over time. I agree with you that many sites ignore caterpillars and caterpillar food plants. I do have some photos of burnet moth caterpillars, and possibly cocoons, but it will take me a while to unearth them.
Your sites are brilliant. The photography and text are very informative, interesting and colourful. The Law of Life says that we are all striving for perfection! Personally I find it very elusive! I appreciate that you are busy so don't worry about searching whilst the sun is shining!
