[must refer to the footballs you can get when mating... also applies to toads] a chorus of frogs... and... a fretting of frogs [both of which must be the same thing... but the fretting probably refers to the irritation of someone trying to sleep at night] but I do like "Army"... especially as I walk past the walnut and they all plop into the water! Army isn't in my little book of collective nouns... nb: it was my Mum's originally. Tim
