Working Girls

As of tomorrow Célestine and Claudette are back at work for the 2015 season, ferrying tourists to chateaux, wineries, fromageries, markets, gardens and all sorts of lesser known sites of historic interest in the Touraine Loire Valley.

Of course, this means Simon is working too - as can be seen by the shine on Claudette. He claims that until we bought Célestine he had never hand washed a car: growing up in the "bush capital", car washing was something one did at a drive through car-wash, and even then only after visiting the coast. During the season he has to wash and polish at least one car a week.

********************************************
A la cuisine hier: Simon made wholemeal scones for afternoon tea. They were terrific!

Montrésor is one of our favourite places to mooch around. Lunch at the café on the bottom road is good, too (I forget what it's called). Do many if your clients ask to visit Montrésor or are they mainly interested in the big, famous châteaux?
The two ladies look very grand and elegant in such a lovely setting. It would be unthinkable to see them covered in dirt!

Great photos of the château du Lion and of the Girls.

Is the Poterne still part of the château or is it a separate entity now because of the museum?

I wish the two a very good season and may there be less rain and more dust in warm sunshine to keep Simon awash! : )

Stunning photographs of two beautiful ladies. Great promotional shots.

Generally I agree, but it might shock the clients :-)

Thanks.

Nobody's ever asked to visit Montresor, but we suggest it sometimes, especially if the clients are doing more than one day. The cafe is called the Café de la Ville, and is excellent -- much more sophiscated food than you expect from the look of the building.

The photos are in Preuilly, btw...

The Poterne is separate.

Many thanks.

It's not often we have them together so we took the opportunity.

My husband believes that his cars are held together by dust....

Susan said...

Well our modern car is definitely held together by algae...

The cars are adorable! As a relative newcomer to your blog, I didn't know about them...

I hope the tourist season shapes up well for you!
