Some time ago the market gardeners from Villandry who have a stall at Loches market told me they had a vending machine in Villandry for selling their produce at the farm gate. Until the other day I had not spotted it, and it isn't really at the farm gate. Its location is considerably more prime -- it is in the Tourist Office carpark.
The veggie vending machine is a brilliant idea. Everything looked in good condition, and not outrageously expensive. I hope they do extremely well out of it.
Update: Here is a photo of the labels on the machine, showing the French distributor and the German manufacture's details.

What a great idea!!
that is very clever
I like that very much...especially the price tags.
In my old neck of the woods they have started bread vending machines....but this is special!
I hope the Clos Roussely wines are good. I have had one, a rosé I think, chez des amis but I haven't been over there to taste others or buy any yet.
Oops, I commented on the wrong post. Meant to comment on the previous one.
Ken: they are good, with a couple of really interesting ones, especially the whites. I haven't tasted a rosé from there.
Goodness, how clever! I missed this post when you first published it. I wish they had one near me.
Who is the Manufacturer of this vending machine?
Paul: I don't know. I could find out if you are genuinely interested.
@Susan: My fiancé and I on a recent trip to Villandry bought some plums from this machine. What a brilliant idea!! Do you know who the manufacturer of this machine is? It would be a brilliant idea for our community here in Australia!!
