We are led to believe that it's going to rain today*. This would be a novelty for us, because apart from a 3 or 4 days in the 3rd week of September, the month was totally dry. The same apples to August, July and most of June as well.
On Saturday morning I glanced up at the sky as I was opening the shutters and thought "hmmm - clouds". Then I realised what it was I was looking at.
Contrary to what you might think, these are not planes out of Paris. We are 0°55′46″ east (and about 500km south) of London- and in this photo, north is just to the left of the larger tree right of centre.

*They're right. We woke up this morning and we had drizzle.
