A few evenings ago I went outside to water the pot plants and heard the unmistakable whoosh of a hot air balloon gas burner. This is quite unusual in Preuilly, and at first I couldn't see it at all. It was hidden by the tall buildings in front of our house, but soon it hoved into view and I have a shot of it directly above our street.
It was descending fast, so it must have come down on the high fields behind the chateau.

I recognise this one... it has flown by here on a number of occasions... but never this close.
