The Tomb of Agnes Sorel

Susan wrote a while ago about Agnes Sorel, and a couple of years ago we mentioned she is buried in the church of St-Ours, in that part of Loches which is within the medieval walls.

Until Tuesday I have never managed to take a photo I was happy with of the effigy on the tomb of Agnes Sorel. Now I am happy.

Simon, Amazing shot! How did you manage to take a picture from that angle? Did you do a flying trapeze trick, or something? :) Martine

Same question as Martine. It's absolutely beautiful.

It would be interesting to check this likeness with her portrait by Fouquet as the Virgin Mary.
