C&E: The urge to build on high places overlooking water starts in prehistory. It's partly for practical reasons (flooding) but also for visibility.
Fraussie: From Chaumont cross the river and go straight through the roundabout towards Onzain. Immediately after the roundabout turn left into the carpark where there is toilets, the viewing tower and rows of vines of different named varieties, with a stainless steel sculpture.
