It rained!

We've had a fairly dry start to the year. Statistically we are down on average, even if it doesn't feel like it.

On Tuesday, as we were returning from Amboise, it rained. The day had started rainy, but not too heavy, then cleared by the afternoon. At 17h (5pm) the clouds rolled in, the thunder and lightning started, and someone turned the seas upside down.

Water across the road in Loches

By the time we reached Loches people were pulling to the side of the road, the dry ditches were running like apline gaves, and water was being forced up out of gutter grates in jets.

Thirty minutes later we arrived home in Preuilly and it was bone dry - not a drop had fallen.
