Testing the Water

Taking water samples for testing from the Murrumbidgee. Photographed by Susan Walter. Tour the Loire Valley with a classic car and a private guide.

While we were picnicking at Uriarra Crossing a young woman in an official water agency van turned up and took some samples from the Murrumbidgee River. The river is part of Canberra's water supply system and she was doing a routine check for things like E. coli.

Haha! She certainly wasn't used to people taking an interest in what she was doing, and didn't engage in conversation easily.
