Is it Spring?

It won't come as a surprise to anyone that it appears the weather is all a bit messed up: our neighbour's apricot tree has been blossoming for almost a month, and on Monday we saw irises blooming. A month ago I was passed by a bumble bee with a tempest as a tailwind,  and a week ago we saw a bat feeding above a local lake.

Strange days indeed.

The weather does seem to be peculiar this winter.
Mind you, apart from it being incredibly wet, it's more normal in our part of the UK. The flowers are coming out at about the time we would expect them to and today we awoke to snow, which is usual for February. The snowdrops have just finished and the daffodils are coming out so spring is definitely around the corner.

The cranes are on the move, so it's definitely spring.
