Last June the Chateau of Chenonceau unveiled a new garden. It is dedicated to Russell Page, the famous British garden designer, and occupies the space once home to the childrens' play area, an old walled garden.
The new garden is based on drawings Russell Page did for the Menier family, owners of the Chateau de Chenonceau since 1913, but the garden they planned was never realised. Now, under the direction of Curator Laure Menier, the current Head of Botanics, the American Nicholas Tomlan, has created a space full of whimsical beasts and lovely planting schemes.

Kudos to Laure Menier, the owner and curator of this beautiful chateau.
I think the new garden is probably a better use than the old childrens playground that was in this space.
