Our friends David and Jane organised a walk for New Years Day, with drinks and nibbles afterwards. It was a beautiful mild day which allowed people to sit outside and all the doors and windows were opened. Many of us had at best extremely dull or lonely Christmases, and at worst, completely ruined ones, so we were all very
grateful to get together socially and safely. Here are some pictures.

Roger raiding the nibbles buffet (all delicious and all made by Jane).

Halfway round on our walk we encountered Mireille and her new horse. She was walking it as it hasn't been ridden for several years and needs to be eased back into work.

Flora and Rollo hunting for voles in the cut grass.

Flora and Polly swimming in the spring that feeds the 17th century nymphaeum further down the track, and probably supplied water for the steam train that ran alongside in the 19th and 20th century.
