Our walking club outing for Thursday 21 February saw us doing a loop from the pretty spa town of La Roche Posay. Here are some pictures from the afternoon, which was mild and sunny.
François Galland's team of roofers repairing a chimney in La Roche Posay. How come they are not at my place repairing my roof cresting, I want to know?
Unexpected modern house with red gorilla and monkey, on the heights above La Roche Posay.
View over La Roche Posay, with it's imposing late 11th century castle keep (Fr. donjon) in the centre.
Red Deer Cervus elaphus (Fr. le cerf élaphe) tracks in the forest.
The tracks of a pack of hunting hounds, going at right angles to the deer's in the forest.
At the end of the walk, once back in La Roche Posay we popped in to Martin's sculpture exhibition. His wife Denise is a member of the walking club and was with us.
One of Martin's sculptures.
Roger and Polly the Airedale head for home at the end of the walk in their MG.
Here is a link to my post on a previous walk we did around La Roche Posay.

Love the vintage MG!
It was a kit that Roger built himself, years ago.
