This has been identified for me as Scheuchzer's Bellflower Campanula scheuchzeri (Fr. la Campanule de Scheuchzer). There are just too many unfamiliar Campanula species in the mountains for me to be confident of getting it right. It was photographed near the Lac bleu d'Ilheou in the Hautes Pyrénées in July 2021.
The species grows in alpine grasslands and pockets in the rocks.

Hats off to you for even spelling it, let alone identifying it. It's a lovely shade of purple.
Carolyn: your eyes obviously do purple where mine do blue. They are gorgeous though.
