Summer's Over

This year has been an odd one for weather. At the start of summer all the indications were that it would be one of those summers I remember from childhood in Australia where it never seemed to stop raining.

Then it turned hot and dry and it started to get like it would never rain again. Then... the past two weeks have been wet and cold. This week we are returning to warmer weather, but not hot.

Yesterday morning the weather was so confused we were walking in fog with wet feet from the grass, but everyone felt they were overdressed for the temperature.

Of course this is only an impression, and like all impressions of the weather it's probably wrong.

Completely off topic—On Ken’s blog this morning there is a dandelion flower which led me searching the different parts of that flower. (I thought it looked like the chicory flower.) I ended up on this site:

You probably know it, but I thought, just in case, as they say, better safe than sorry!
