In April we wrote about the rain and the River Claise flooding. As these things go it wasn't a major flood for us, but for some in the area it caused major disruption and damage. Especially for farmers, who were unable to either tend their over-wintering wheat and barley, or were unable to plant the new crops. In recognition of this, a refund of taxe foncière was issued for those owning agricultural land. As our potager is classed agricultural, we benefitted.
Four euros isn't a lot of money, but it's an almost 30% refund. We will attempt not to spend it all at once.
