I said yesterday that no doubt we would be seeing cousin Linda in the next few days... We've made her walker in charge of selfies
Yesterday we did a repeat of a
walk we did last year,
walking up to the refuge at Estom. In contrast with last year the mist
came down as we were walking up the mountain. It started fine though.
As were approacing the refuge someone on the way down passed us and said "no
good, it's all foggy". And hewas absolutely correct, until about 5 minutes later
and the fog lifted for just long enough for us to really appreciate the view. Three minutes later it was all fog again.
Once again it was a hard walk, with the supposed 2 hours each way taking us
from 09:45 to 18:00. We weren't walking all that time, of course. We stopped
for drinks, had lunch at the refuge, and did a lot of looking at scenery (and
one of the party taking photos of alpine plants).
