In September we had occasion to drive to Tours. We have a couple of options of route, either to Saint Maure then the autoroute, or along the Departmental via Ligeuil.
On this trip we went via Paulmy and Ligeuil. On the way I noticed a crop I couldn't quite recognize. We returned the same way and took photos of what we assumed to be sorghum, but not a variety we're used to.
It turns out to have been millet of some variety.
I don't recall seeing millet before, but we assume it's another avenue being explored for crops to deal with the change in climate.
