Seventeenth Century Sundial


17C sundial on a village house.  Indre et Loire, France. Photographed by Susan Walter. Tour the Loire Valley with a classic car and a private guide.

This sundial is on a corner of a house in the Place des Halles,Le Grand Pressigny, dating from 1613. The sundial is signed by P. Gajan.

When I see signed and dated craftsmanship, I like to think the artist would be very pleased that his work is still being appreciated after 400 years.
