Téléthon is an annual fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Charities in France. A weekend of fundraising broadcast on TV Channels 2 & 3. Every town and most villages will be holding events.

Ceremony honouring those who died for France during the Algerian War.

Sunday 13 – Arbre de Noël – Ecoles PubliquesChristmas Tree.
Friday 18 – Marché de Noël
Christmas Market.
Friday 18 – Spectacle Arbre de Noël – Ecole Notre Dame
Christmas Tree Show.
Mondays 21 & 28 - Marigny Marmande - Marché aux Truffes
Annual truffle fair.
Friday 25 – Noël
Christmas Day, a public holiday.
Market days in Preuilly are Thursdays and Saturdays. The market is held in Place des Halles in the morning.
On Saturday nights there is a pizza van in Place des Halles.
Wildlife to watch out for: Large flocks of Lapwing / Vanellus vanellus / Vanneau huppé feeding on open agricultural land, taking flight and wheeling if disturbed before settling again.
Wildflowers to watch out for: rosettes of newly emerged Lizard Orchid /Himantoglossum hircinum /Orchis bouc leaves in the grass.
