A Random Thought

I know that cheese isn't the best thing to use; raisins, peanut butter and chocolate are all better. The French don't do peanut butter - you never see it in the supermarches except in the import section, next to the £3 minature jars of marmite.

The things is though - the French don't seem to do "mousetrap" cheese either. (Cheap cheddar syle supermarket cheese in the UK and Australia)

So what do the French use on mousetraps?

A gratuitous photo of cheese

Kibble -- I think that's an American term, is it called croquettes in Br.Eng.? -- makes a good bait for mice, etc.

Kibble as in dog food? I must admit we have never tried that. Peanut butter was the best (peanut paste in Queensland), but you never saw that on the cartoons.

Maybe Gorgonzola in France?. At least the mice would have no excuse for not knowing its there! You would only need a smear..............
