This is our heated and lit room. It is so very nice to have somewhere we can sit comfortably, be warm, and read.
Once we have run out of books, the sofa turns into a bed, and we can sleep in a room where we don't awake covered in frost.
This is a step in the right direction. You can see, however, the effect that putting heat into the house for the first time in many years is having - the dark patch on the wall is moisture.
In the meantime, we are still waiting for a house in Australia to be sold - papers have been signed, but the dates keep getting further and further away. Once the house is sold, the frenzy of work will recommence. Keep watching this space!

Congratulations! You must be so pleased to have such a warm, comfortable space! It's great that the building project is starting to become a real home.
It must have taken real self-control not to have made this the first picture posted since your return to GB. But will camping in the bedroom, as in last year's photo, remain more of a memory!

Strange you should say that, but it actually never occurred to me to put this picture up when we got home!
Camping may still happen during summer, as the other room is so much more commodious, and I have the feeling that sleeping rooms will change as work gets done. It will be like continually being on holiday.
Except for the work................
