Yesterday starrted gloomy and foggy in Spain - this is the view from out hotel balcony in Bossost. The river is the Garona (Garonne).
When we first arrived in France the weather was no better. This is the chateau
of Mauvezin, which we
first saw in 2020
As we approached Cauterets the weather was clearing, and our humour was further
raised when we followed a truckload of portable toilets which are being set up
for the hordes who are already arriving for the Tour de France on Thursday
Cauterets is gearing up for a really big day. The streets appear to be being
swept on an hourly basis, and the Tour de France Isards are everywhere.
A welcome to my cousin Linda, who arrived for a few days with us in the
mountains. No doubt we will be seeing her in some photos over the next 5
days.
