Here are some photos from a 5 kilometre walk around Bossay sur Claise that we did on Monday 22 November 2021.

None of us can remember this café being open.

Black Bullace Prunus domesticus ssp insititia var nigra (Fr. Prunier à greffer). This is a wild version of a domestic plum, found in hedgerows, with small spherical black fruit which ripens very late, in October-November.

The Chateau de Ris is a 15th century complex that was restored in the mid-19th century. It became a holiday camp for Hispano-Suiza workers in the 20th century.

With the walls of the main house rendered in a distinctive pink colour, the Chateau de Ris is now privately owned.
