Metalwork in les Montils

Les Montils is a small town in Loir et Cher about an hour and a quarter north of us. Until recently we had only ever driven through it, usually on our way to the Chateau of Cheverny. One of the things we noticed in the old centre of town, tucked away from the main roads, is the number of metal sculptures attached to buildings. Frustratingly the internet has not revealed who made them (most of them seem to be by the same hand). I could write to the town hall, but my guess is they won't get round to responding.

From this angle you can see that the windvane (Fr. girouette) is a pied piper...

A locksmith's sign, old enough for the phone number to have too few digits for today.
