I have no idea what species this large fish carcass belongs to. I suspect it was caught by an angler who chose to fillet it on the spot and leave the carcass because they didn't want it stinking up their garbage bin. It will have provided a fine meal for some other wild creature left here on the estuary at Iluka, New South Wales.
