Driving on the Left

When I am in France, this photo looks odd, but as soon as I arrive in Australia driving on the left hand side of the road is instictive. I have never looked at a photo of French roads while in Australia, but driving on the right ihn France is also instinctive.  I've never had a problem driving in the UK in a French car, either.

Whether I could drive on the right in a UK car I don't know. I've never tried.

I've driven on the left in the UK in the appropriate car without a problem after a little practice. But it takes me longer to become accustomed to which way to look before stepping off a curb.

No problems either way round or with either side drive car... We still have the LHD 2CV.

The traffic is so light in our part of France that it's a doddle to drive on the right with a RHD car. I would imagine it's more difficult in the UK for LHD cars if the driver is not used to the manic traffic. Instincts as to where to place yourself in the road to make the turn for example takes time and UK drivers are not always very patient.
