On the last day of January we walked a 6 kilometre circuit from Le Grand Pressigny.

Wow! The photo of that lichen is stunning and outstanding. It is worth a professional printing and framing. The likes of it probably went into my “late” Pour un Homme by Houbigant Fougère Royale.

The land of the proposed development was for sale as individual parcels for houses some years ago. It was under water one year that we were there due to heavy rain (I have the photos!). I presume that the work done on the river has solved the flooding problem.
Jean: Everyone thinks this site will flood from time to time. The work done on the river would not mitigate this land flooding. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Yohann is most unhappy about the prospect of one of 'his' flood meadows being built on and not being allowed to do its job.

Well.... I hope they build it on stilts... that area flood4ed right up to the road at the last major flood!!
They were trying to sell individual plots until that....
then the sign came down.
I think it is a kids' tree house.... there is no security for chooks in that... they'd be food for something else in no time!
Le Pré de la Forge: I don't know what the flood plans are, but all the locals are aware it floods. The tree house is so small inside that even a toddler would struggle to fit and I can't see anyone thinking it was a good idea to let a toddler climb the ladder.
