Over the weekend we had freezing fog and hoar frost. The maximum temperature on Saturday was -2C, but by Sunday we got to 1C and the frost on the trees started falling like snow. Here are some photos I took on my travels in the Sud Touraine while it was a winter wonderland.

Beautiful.
You've had the ideal snow, soft and light and soon melted. As I scrolled down, I mistakenly connected the caption "View from our orchard" with the photo below it, the Chateau de Boussay. Nice neighbors, I thought, before realizing my mistake.
Clematis seedheads are very delicate.
Colin and Elizabeth: Yes, so long as the roads don't get icy.
Ken: Yes, nearly as good as snow in the landscape.
Carolyn: Not snow, frost, but nearly as good.
chm: They are lovely, especially covered in frost.
I had to put on a sweater halfway through reading the post .... brrrr. We freeze at night these days but the sun comes out during the day and it heats up to 8-10 degrees.
