Christmas Decorations at the Chateau of Chenonceau

You've missed them now, but I was lucky enough to see the Christmas decorations in the Chateau of Chenonceau twice. Here are some of the photos I took.

The so-called Diane de Poitiers bedroom. The big white rectangular object on the far right is made of cotton bolls.

The Long Gallery. The 'snow' on the floor had been trodden all over the Chateau by Thursday. I don't know what it was made of, but hopefully something conservation friendly.

I have a very mundane question, where do they store all these decorations? In empty rooms of the chateau? In the basement?

thanks for sharing these. I doubt I'll ever be there during Xmas so a treat to see.

chm: In one of the outbuildings I assume. The florists work from a cottage in the middle of the farmyard.

melinda: Any time of year is fine to visit. The floral displays are always spectacular.
