I was amused to find this pansy having seeded itself in a crack in the gutter along the side of our house. It hasn't bothered growing more than a couple of leaves before sending up this large and pretty flower. It's currently on it's second flower, and there is another to come.

Nature is so inventive!
In a world where it seems that humans are determined to poison everything and pave over as much as they can, something like this bright little flower is very cheering.
