It can really rain in the tropical north of Australia. This downpour was at the tail end of the wet season and didn't last long. But while it did, it really bucketed down.
Very seldom did we have that kind of rain in Salton City. When that happened, Frank and I used to sit on the porch and enjoy the falling rain. That was entertainement! In other places, I just hate rain!

Looks a lot like north west England at the moment.
Proper rain is definitely worth sitting on the veranda and watching.
