Love the Australia Day headers.... The script is wonderful as well... think you should keep it!
And whilst on the header... that quote... ... garden of France - that spot where, amid verdant plains watered by wide streams, one inhales the purest air of heaven?" and, with the current era of dampness... lichens are growing furiously on anything that is left outside for ten minutes!!
With the wind chill, it is -32C here. I believe that you will be on freezing side for a while if you look at the pattern of the gulf stream - over up in Alaska and then a big dip as far south as Louisiana and up again along the east coast and as far north as Gaspé in Québec.
Bonjour Cousine, Right now, just after the State of the Union address, it is -11°C here in Arlington. Some kind of a heat wave compared to Montréal. And it is snowing a little.
Did Yves know about "gaudes"? This is a Franche-Comté specialty.
Liselle: I think we'll have to plan our retirement so we end up a bit closer. How does a hamlet in Tasmania sound? :-) Stefania will need a bolt hole in Milan though or she'll go stir crazy.

Your sister sure does look like you. There is an undeniable 'air de famille'. Enjoy your summer! Here, in Virginia, we freeze our … off!
chm: Stefania isn't my sister. She is the partner of Alex, one of Simon's oldest friends.
Well, on this photo she does remind me of you. The sun glasses?
Bonjour Cousin

That was a very enjoyable, but very HOT day :-) wish you (or I) were (permanently) closer.
