Pruned

We have seen some pretty savagely pruned lime (linden) trees in the past (and Susan has written about it), but these trees in Montrésor really do take the cake.

I looked to see if we have any photos of these trees pre-pruning, but we only have bits of them - they did tend to get into every photo taken, but not in their entirety.

We're sure to be there a couple of times this year, so I will keep taking photos until we know the outcome.

Are you sure they are trees and not 'poteaux télégraphiques'?

They'll grow back just fine... the limes pollard 'bootifully'. Not sure what shape they are after, tho'... and it will take about ten years to look like anything other than a bog brush!!
