It has taken us a while to get to this stage - we kept on running out of stuff just before we finished. This includes placo glue (we ran out twice, the second time falling two dollops short...) electrical boxes (you can see how many prises we have) and energy.

You may notice in the last of the photos that the window is very low. This has caused a problem with the kitchen design: we lose a lot of wall space and can't have a bench (or the traditional "sink in front of the window") there, so instead we will have a bookcase for all those cookery books.Simon

Looking good, Simon. French kitchens often don't have the sink under a window. I don't know why. Maybe because the French open-into-the-room windows don't lend themselves to that design.

There's nothing like being in this position to fully imagine what it will be like with your appliances (and cookery books)in place.

Simon, I guess they focus on the dishes and pans they are washing. It is strange, though, isn't it? We did live in a couple of apartments in San Francisco that didn't have a window over the sink.
We have a window over our sink in LGP. The window opens inwards so we rarely open it because you have to juggle with the tap to get it open - except when we have guests and are serving dinner on the terrace, then it's worth the struggle to get the window open to use it as a serving hatch !! It's nice to look out when washing up. I don't think I would like having a wall in front of me when I have donned my marigolds !!
WE remember what it looked like during our visit last year - you guys have done wonders so far.
