The Fireplace, Days 4 and 5

It has been very cold the past couple of days. Yesterday morning the temperature was in the minuses (-2 according to the thermometer in the car), and we haven't had any heating except for a couple of cheap electric heaters. Even the heaters haven't been very effective - the chimney was open to the skies, so any hot air we did manage to generate disappeared instantly. This meant that Thursday night and Friday morning were pretty miserable.

So happy to see your fireplace up and working, there is not much more miserable than being cold.

It looks very cosy and inviting, hope it is working well, sure it won't take long to throw down a rug and pull up some comfy chairs, and some hot chocolate.....ah bliss

It looks great! And I'm sure it feels great. We've been having wood fires for a few days now too.

It looks very cosy too, and it must be a great relief to have proper heat at last.

Amazing, just what I could do with here in the UK, I have an open fire and central heating but a wood burning stove would be great!
