It's easy to be blown away by a chateau on a cliff and take dozens of photos without looking around. Chateaux are such eye-catchers that sometimes it is difficult to do anything else but try and capture it - I take at least a couple photos of this chateau every time we visit. However, like a lot of French villages, there is a lot more to see if you take your time.
Angles is another on my list of places I must take more photos of.Simon

A person can never have too many photos of Angles sur l'Anglin. It's got those steep cliffs, tranquil river, flowery bridge, archways veiled with ivy.... It just occurred to me to wonder whether a place that's so full of charm in the summer doesn't look rather bleak at this time of year.
I'll probably never know.
We visited Angles s/Anglin this summer while staying in Preuilly. We loved it because even tho' there were a few tourists it was uncroweded enough to walk about the village and feel we were the lone explorers looking about each stone paved trail and small friendly square.
Carolyn, I'm not sure sure about never having too many photos of Angles sur l'Anglin, because I am on the cusp :¬) Looking south, that is - there is plenty of scope for more photos looking north!
Jenny, It's strange like that - you get lulls in the middle of summer where all of a sudden it's almost a private discovery.
