I'm always taken aback by the sheer number of people at Chenonceau.
We have been three times in all and it was packed with people each time. We could still get a good view of most of what we wanted to see though, but it would be wonderful to be able to tromple around in peace, nobody else around.
Mid January, that's the time to visit!
