1000 Years and Going Strong

I mentioned last month that our church is 1000 years old this year.

Well - here is the proof, although I am not sure that many archeologists would find it a completely convincing argument.

  1. It's a little too good and looks a little too fresh to be true. But, who cares? This abbey church is beautiful, inside and out,

  2. Chm, do you think it's a fake? It looks pretty authentic to me. Martine

  3. Martine:

The Church is 12th and 14th century, with a lot of restoration dating from the 1850s. The 1009 is actually the date the abbey was established - I am not sure if there is any of the original building left.
